Free books pre-order or released the price can change at any moment. Specially if it's a publisher's error. You have to order to lock in the price at the moment it says $0 or you can miss out. I can't tell you how many times I gotten up to find the book went back to regular price when it was free that morning.

What you can do is install Kindle4PC and send it to there then once it's released you can go to your Manage Kindle page and download it to your PC then add it to your Kindle via USB. I send all my books to Kindle4PC first to look at them then I can add them to my Kindle later if I want to actually read them.

Hi, blossom! I was able to pre-order the book while it was $0.00. I'm just afraid that they would charge me if the book came out with a fee after all.

The first time I did it I was afraid too. I have since then pre-order free books numerous times. I have never been charge once. For peace of mind you can check your Digital Orders page and check the order Invoice if it says $0 you are good to go and will not be charged.

If you do accidentally order a pre order with a price you can cancel it and not be charge but if says $0 on the invoice that's the price you will get the book for. No Worries.

I have accidentally clicked Buy now when trying to send a free sample and bought a book I didn't want. Amazon refunded my money the same day.
