Kidding, I would suggest you call the courier and tell them to pick it up and redeliver it.
I have to agree, they will not learn to be more attentive if they do not have to correct their own mistakes!

Then we started getting my next door neighbor's mail regularly. When Chris left for work today he noticed a large box on our front porch. We hadn't ordered anything, so when I checked it, it's for the same house number on the next street over.
If I'm going to have to re-deliver mail, shouldn't I at least get the pension plan?
That happens quite often to us. When it's for neighbour I usually bring it. But we live along a long canal and I don't want to walk through the whole inner city to deliver mail. When I recently tried to give some wrong delivered mail to the mailman he looked at me as if I violated him.

Coincidently a man with the same name live further along the canal and we recently got mail for him; someone had written down the wrong address. My mother tried googling him to find the right address and found out he was not only a professor in ethics but also a convicted paedophile . Which was probably why we couldn't find his address. Wrote on the envelope it was the wrong address and put it in the mailbox.

There are so many bad jokes that could be told about a professor of ethics who is also a pedophile.

Naw! They're going to fence it and buy drugs. You'd think they could cut out the middle man and just rob the pusher, but then pushers tend to get a bit upset about that.

Was it your monitor or did it belong to the agency? This was the real estate place right? Did you have your laptop with you at home?
it was at the Real Estate Office. my monitor, all that we have supplied are telephones, a desk, dial tone, power and water. I take my laptop home with me every night thank goodness. the agency was very decent about it, authorized me up to $120 to replace the monitor. of course I lost a bunch of time getting it, installing it, etc. two security firms came through and made bids. there was a strong windstorm last night, power was out so the alarm system was out. we are getting bids that do not depend on power

Really sorry to hear it. As I was a kid our flat was robbed. The burglars took only the TV (very old, not really worth bothering), but in order to transport it, they took the baby cart of my unborn (yet) sister. Now *that* was neither old, nor cheap and at the time my parents couldn't afford a suitable replacement, so my sister grew up in a borrowed old baby cart from a friends of my parents.
I don't care about the TV, but I really hate these people for stealing the cart.

How much would you charge to rent Pi out to them for each night? If that doesn't stop them nothing will.

We had a van stolen from our driveway a few years ago, it was a big inconvenience but nothing terrible since we ended getting more for it than we probably could have sold it for, but the part that pissed me off completely was that they took our son's car seat (he was only 2 at the time) and tossed it somewhere. The van was found trashed and pretty much unusable but we never saw the car seat again. Have I mentioned how much I can't stand thieves, worthless, little, small minded, sissy, cowards that they are.

A friend of mine was at a fundraiser at her daughter's school, and she left her purse in the car for about an hour, out of sight. Somebody went through and broke into 6 or 7 cars and took 3 purses. They called the police, cancelled their credit cards, etc., and went home. Later that night J. got a call from her pharmacist. Apparently a woman who was getting some empty boxes out of a dumpster behind a liquor store saw that 3 purses were in the bottom of the dumpster. She managed to fish one of them out (my friend's) and although all the cards and ID were gone she found a bottle of prescription medication. She took it to the pharmacy on the label and they contacted J. After a bout of dumpster diving J. recovered all three purses with everything in them except wallets/cards, and the (busted) cellphones of her friends. J. had her cellphone in her pocket so it didn't get stolen. Anyway, I think she learned the lesson of not leaving anything valuable in her car, but it was heartening that the woman collecting the boxes went to the trouble to track her down through the pharmacy. Sometimes the stuff the thieves throw away because it has no value to them is the stuff we can't replace.

Some years ago, I shared a house with friends. One of the friends played piano, and there were two upright pianos in the house, and a grand piano harp sitting on the porch.

We all went away for a weekend. When we came back, we discovered that the harp was gone from the porch. We were nonplussed. A grand piano harp weighs about 300lbs. Stealing one would require about four strong guys and a pickup truck. But once you had stolen it, what would you do with it? It's not the sort of thing you can fence to buy drugs.

We couldn't think of any reason for the theft beyond "because they could."
