Or just email them at sales@oberondesign.com From the notation on their homepage, it looks like they are on vacation until Monday.

I think I read somewhere that you ordered the case by email. They told me to call them to place the order, but since I'm in Europe that will cost me a lot of money. How did you place your order ?

I think I called them to place the actual order as I had some questions. I know they sent me a few emails, because when I first emailed them to inquire I was told they no longer made Sony cases, but would reconsider if there was enough demand. Then later they emailed me to say they could still the 600 style cases from the same style/color combinations available from the Kindle 3. But that I couldn't place an order via the website because the choice doesn't exist on their website any longer. |

I was ready to buy the Navitech PRS650 case on Amazon but the only review said the case was really for the 600. My wife and I were doing our evening walk over at the mall (a bit too cold last night for an outdoor sojourn) and I told her that I was considering making my own case (I have an industrial sewing machine). She was insistent that I not waste my time and that we should search through the stores at the Mall where we would be sure to find something that would do the job. I had my doubts... Imagine my surprise when I found a CaseLogic zippered case for a 'Sony Reader Touch' at Sears(!) but...which one? 600 or 650? I knew that they are similar in size so I bought it and took it home. Turns out it's for the 600 but with a bit of extra elastic and a piece of foam it should do nicely. I wanted a case which would let me read without removing the 650. It's not leather (which I wanted) but for $20, how can I complain? |

I haven't seen anyone mention it here, but has anyone tried putting a silicone cover on a 650 and using it with a 600 case? I'm thinking about trying this with either an Oberon 600 case or even an M-Edge Go Jacket...thought the silicone might help the fit. Thoughts? |

Unless you have already used the case with a 600 and the straps are "stretched" so-to-speak. Then I could see possibly needing help with the fit.

I have ordered a Noreve case and have skinned my 650. I am being so careful these days while i wait for my case. I thought if I was spending the money I would get the colour I want. I will update when it arrives.

Based on other discussion here, I ordered the Oberon Designs small journal cover back at the end of December, while they were on vacation. It arrived last week. I took the blank book out of it and it is indeed the perfect size for my PRS650. The blank book was about twice the thickness of the reader, so after I took it out I put the case under weights overnight, empty, to squash it flat to match the reader. I used two strips of industrial strength adhesive velcro to stick the reader into the cover. My PRS650 is skinned and the velcro sticks very well to the skin and to the leather of the cover. I then glued two small steel washers in the corners of the inside front cover with some adhesive sealant. They stick very well too. And when the cover is closed, they hold the corners in place against the magnetic corners of the reader. They wouldn't be enough to hold it shut alone, but the cover also has a strap. The cover is very beautiful. I'd post pictures but the Oberon site has better pictures than I could ever take. Last edited by elizilla; 01-31-2011 at 09:46 AM. |

Here you go The first picture shows the colour the best. The other 2 I took after dark, under a lamp. |
