				Like my 350 but....

I have a Kindle and I really like it, but with rising book prices, I decided to get the Sony reader for library books. I really like like the 350, but I do wish that it had a next page button like the Kindle. Because I use the next page button as well as the touch screen to turn pages, the finish on my next page button chipped. I've never dropped it or otherwise abused it so it's just from use. I've read only about about 10 books on the 350 so this was most disappointing.

I'm trying to think of how to restore my reader's good looks. I've been wondering if it would be possible to basically repaint the button. I'm also wondering if anyone else has had this problem. |

The paint chipped off the next page button? Is it operable otherwise?

I used the alternate firmware to give me forward and back buttons on both sides of my 650.

On the left side, the forward and back buttons stay the same. On the right side, the zoom button pages back (a long press activates the zoom function), the option key is the forward page button (a long press activates the options menu). It works for me and may for you as well.

dkb, I'm sorry to hear of your problem. I have seen one other similar post in the last few months, except it was on a 950. I wonder if it's a quality issue or if more people will start having this problem. Maybe you should call Sony Support and see what they have to say?
