I've had cheap drawing tablets before, but they soon ended up in a drawer. I don't think this will happen with my Wacom. I opted for the bigger one because I want to get into drawing again and a small tablet isn't as precise as a bigger one.

At the moment I'm playing around with ArtRage and it's so much fun!

I recently bought a book which teaches you how to draw from the beginning, just to get a base again. If you like drawing I can recommend taking a course or buy a how-to book. As long as you're having fun it doesn't matter what your art looks like IMHO.

Now I'm downloading the other programs, hopefully Amazon's servers will return to normal speed soon!

Why would something that sounds like it is from Gilligan's Island be so expensive? Surely the professor has knocked it up from materials to hand. Maybe now they can send a message to get help for rescue!

I just found the negative part about expanding my reading horizons. I've gotten hooked on a bunch of urban fantasy series...and now I've got TWO genres to keep up with new releases. Come on, Illinois Lottery...

INGRATES

Okay, I find myself back on this thread again. I haven't kept up with it so I have no idea what the current discussion is. So .... I'm jumping right in here with a new rant.

Since Christmas, there have been at least a few people on the forums complaining that they were gifted an eReader. Either it wasn't the right one or the case is wrong - a CASE!!! more extra money spent on them!

I have to be blunt here and say that all of the complaints I have heard so far from this ungrateful bunch can be attributed to user error. Just because they are too stupid to figure out how to use the thing or read the directions, they blame the reader.

Reading those posts makes me want to scream. Even the cheapest eReader is expensive. None of the people in question here have even made the slightest reference to the generosity of the giver. Not a shred of appreciation. WTH is wrong with these people???? Whiners. Complainers. Ingrates with a sense of entitlement.

Thankfully, these people are the minority. Most of the giftees that have shown up here are happy and appreciative.

End rant. Please carry on.

Totally agree with you!

Anyone who's not happy with their ereading device which has been given to them - please PM me and I'll give you my address so you can ship it over to me I'll happily take any rejects off your hands

I'd be made over if someone gifted me a device - I spend ages saving up for mine!

I agree as well. Anyone that is unhappy should be talking to the person that gave it to them. If you sincerely tell them you appreciate it and love the thought but would like a different one, they should have no problem with giving you the gift receipt for it so it can be exchanged for a different model/brand.

If, on the other hand, they are afraid to mention it and are just going to complain about then, please, take it somewhere else.
