Thank you for the brilliant idea! That never occured to me, but I'm going to move mine over, right away.

Scion - one thing I remember from xda is that GoogleTalk needs a different keyboard. If you use the most recent autonooter (after the 1.0.1 update) it automatically installs a different keyboard; and then Gtalk works out of the box .... (it actually installs it).

If you aren't on the latest update (actually, I think you said you were going to update manually) you might try installing a different keyboard and then reinstalling Gtalk.

If you've done all the steps, and it still closes, maybe try deleting the data using Titanium (that is what fixes Youtube when it opens/closes)?

Drop files into your dropbox folder on your computer (apps, ebooks, mp3's, videos); and they automatically get synced your dropbox account on the dropbox server. When you run dropbox on your NC, all of your files are available (to download). I actually set my calibre library up inside my dropbox folder on my desktop, so now my calibre library is available on my NC.

The android app also allows you to share files from your dropbox (email a link for someone to download directly from the dropbox); upload to the dropbox from the app; stream m3ps or videos etc.

As you can probably tell from my glowing review of dropbox, I really like it!

Note: shameless plug: if you aren't a user of dropbox - if you use this link to sign up, I get a little extra free space (hope that's ok to post here):

Thanks for this post jasoraso, but I have a question and I hope it isn't too dumb...I have been using Calibre and DropBox for sometime but not integrated...so, I moved my library over to a DropBox folder and my NC sees the folder BUT I can only see jpgs (covers) but no ePub files...since they are not files DropBox knows what to do with.

So, this begs the question: Once you have your library all setup on DropBox how do you get your Nook Color to 'see' the ePub files?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I've been working on this all day with no luck. The alternate keyboard thing worked to the point where the app stays open now. But now it just hangs at the "signing in" screen. Market and Gmail still work so my Google account is still on the device.

That's strange. Dropbox doesn't try to identify file types. It just presents you with what is stored there. I just checked and my NC can see the .epub files. I selected one for download and was asked which app do I want to use (Aldiko or Overdrive). I selected Aldiko and the file downloaded.

Are the .epub files synced with online storage? Is there a check mark next to files in the Dropbox folder on your computer?

Well, that's the thing. I downloaded Aldiko but DropBox still won't show any epub files even though they are there. Hmmm. Gonna eat dinner and try a reboot...I'll update then. Thanks SCION.

Ok...I downloaded Overdrive Media Console and that did the trick. Now the epubs show up. You are a genius SCION. Thank you once again for removing some of the frustration of making things 'just work'.

Cheers yippeee! This is awesome.

I bought the Swiftkey keyboard app for my phone and tried to download it to the NC through the market, and it isn't showing up.

I was really hoping not to have to sideload any apps, but it looks like I might have to.

Unreal. More than 12 hours later and I finally got it! Told myself I wasn't going to bed until it worked.

Lost my Market and Gmail functionality messing with Talk. Had to re-enable all of that manually. Then went back to working on Talk.

Good Night!!!

Wow! Sad to see Android is still a POS OS. Google needs to get their act together as most users will NOT be hackers or even mildly tech saavy! Make the darn thing tablet friendly already. I'm glad my NC is nooter free.
