But I don't see how it's all that hard to modify say the 600 products to fit the 650 (for example). So really, m-edge is losing money and after the holidays is a bad time to start making product if they even do.

As the cover arrived, I tried it on. As is, the 650 will not fit in, but there is not much room missing. So I cut the leather attachments on the lower parts of the cover (not the upper elastic ones), replaced each (left and right) with a "male" velcro part in a triangle shape, stuck the "female" triangle velcro parts left and right on the lower back of the 650, and am now using it as my sole cover. It is secured in the upper part with the elastics and in the lower part with the velcro. It is very stable, the cover closes without problem. I use an elastic to have a "moleskine" effect, which I have done with all my m-edge covers since I ended up always getting the GO Cover. The Go cover are leaner and I don't like the way the other m-edge covers close. Plus with the elastic I can read with the cover folded to the back, with just the palm of my hand between both layers holding the reader, and I can swipe with my thumb. It does not protect the 650 any less than the Sony cover would, really, and if needed there are certainly better protection on the market, but since my 650 does not leave my house it is OK for me. AND I don't end up with a huge cover, which would be a pity considering Sony really did an effort on the dimensions of the 650. Nevertheless, I think it is a shame that m-edge did not react on the new sony devices, considering how well they sell right now, it is not a very clever business decision not to offer covers for those, so yes, I am disappointed too! |

Well done on modifying the 300 cover to fit the 650.
I'd like to know what enough interest is in order for M-Edge to star making covers for the new Sony Readers. I would have thought by now they would have had enough interest. But if M-Edge was selling nice covers that cost less then the Sony covers, then I would expect them to sell pretty well. As is, M-Edge won't actually tell us why they have an issue with making product for the new Sony Readers. I am going to have to contact M-Edge again and ask them just how much customer interest did they get for the nook color. |

Ha ha, good luck on that latest inquiry. While I sincerely wish it well, I can just imagine it getting tossed into the circular file by some frazzled employee whose job is 95% something other than responding to customers.

I'm curious about "enough interest" for nook color as well.
I have an M-Edge cover for my Sony 900 because no one else offered anything nice at a reasonable price. I purchased my cover for the nook color from Barnes and Noble because of the great selection and good quality priced less than M-Edge. |

I don't have much interest in M-Edge since their new Kindle3 covers are made of synthetic leather. I saw two of them in Staples last week an I was seriously underwhelmed. Glad I bought an Amazon case and an Oberon. Now if only Oberon would make covers for Sony readers.
What I'm trying to say here is that even if they end up making covers for the new Sony readers, I think they won't make them in genuine leather but will charge same prices as they had been charging for leather. |

I wrote them last week about a cover for my new PRS-950 and got a generic reply, the gist of which is they don't have them. There was no mention of plans to make them, either. Pity: the cover for the 900 looked nice.

I just sent off an email to M-Edge to complain, and informing them that they've lost a potential sale. I really like their covers and would have loved one for my 350, but if they can't be bothered, neither can I.

I put a note on their facebook page about the newest Sony ereaders. If they made them in the materials they are using for the K3 covers, I wouldn't buy it.

Boy if some company wanted to make money they could do so seeings m-edge doesn't want to make the covers. I bought one from them when I got my 500... and it is very nice and I remember when they first started making them too........ what a switch in CS they have. I did write them yesterday about the go covers, response back was they had those other things.. well I did't like those *other things*........ I was more impressed with the go cover. Oh well I bought the cover with the light built into it...... so much for m-edge.
