If ever you come to Nijmegen, you'll give me a sniff of that sock.

I'm not exactly sure why you took exception to my post. I just discovered this forum today and it is Remembrance Day or Veterans Day in many countries. Therefore, I thought my video would be appropriate. I have had many veterans and historians from around the world commend the content in this video. The video identifies the commitment of the men who flew aircraft during WWII. It was the dedication by these men (and women) that formed the foundation of our freedom today. My native language is also English. There are no spelling mistakes in my post, but perhaps, I should not capitalize "World War" (meaning WWI and WWII), even though these words are capitalized in many contexts.

please accept my humble apologies, and welcome to the forums

we get a fair amount of spammers in here, and one of their MO's is to run by with a link (sometimes tainted) and fade into the ether.

I am accustomed to seeing either "WWI", "WWII", or "the World Wars" not just "WW"

Doering, please believe Kindlekitten, she only posted what she did for exactly the reason she states; don't take it personally

On a happier note, I'd like to thank you for that video. As I said, my Grandfather served on Lancasters during WWII so it was very interesting for me personally. I need to watch it a couple more times and see if I can spot him!

A heartfelt "Thank you" to all of the Vets on the board. Without your willingness to serve we would not be able to enjoy the freedoms that we do.

Proudly served in The Royal Air Force, 1990 to 2000. My Grandad on my mothers side, was killed in the second world war (my mum was 13 at the time), so I buy my poppy every year, for him, and also to remember all those who have given their lives and still do for our freedom.
