After the screen turns to that weird color, just set it down and go do something for about 5-7 minutes. Mine did the same thing but after a considerably longer time than WinCE, it had Android 2.1 on it. It just takes a while.

hello everyone, im a new member here, and would like to say thanks to ColdSun for a wonderful review of the W1060 and JE100 and imaredr's review between the JE100 and JE 200
i've been on the look out for a portable ebook reader for a long time and if i had seen this site before i wouldn't had wasted my money for a psp a year ago. one question since this is a review made in 2009, has there been any new releases from the makers of W1060 or from jointech that is better? and could you suggest any online retailer that have this that are based in asia as i am from the Philippines. thank you. |

@metal1369 Hi there.. I'm from South East Asia also.
So far have had experiences talking back and forth via email with Jiongtang, Merimobiles ana Eletroworld. So far the first two are the ones (in my opinion) that people usually look after first. Plus the first two merchants have A81-E version.. So this might be a better choice than the original A81 / W1060 Just my 0,02 cents |

@metal1369 Sorry for late replying.. Haven't browsed this forum for about a week or so X_X
Well, here are the URLs Jiongtang -> http://jiongtang.com/shop/ Merimobiles -> http://www.merimobiles.com/ Eletroworld -> http://www.eletroworld.cn/ There are at least three names that I can recall of o) Wits A81-E (or just A81) o) Wirelession W1060 o) Nationite Midnite On the side note, this merchant sells A81.. without particular branding http://www.kaskus.us/showthread.php?t=5051938 For additional money, than what's sold on Jiongtang/Merimobiles.. The price paid for, included tax in his side (in my country) |

I´m looking for some MID devices and A81-E (W1060G) is my no.1.
Can somebody confirm functionality of BT and GPS with the Android 2.2? Or this features are working only under WindowsCE? I want to use Bluetooth to connect my phone as data-modem and GPS for some Geocaching applications.... ![]() |

iPhoneToday on W1060 (C) + misc.
Greetings from a newbie to tablet PCs-
...and with admiration for ColdSun, phuongt, kathyzhong, Lencho Lee, pphillips (may I call you Zealot? Most appropriate. ![]() 1. Do you still find iPhoneToday to provide the best UI, to your liking? My 1060 currently runs plain-vanilla CE & by itself I find it pretty tedious to use. My CE is v. 6.0, Build 3122. 2. From http://code.google.com/p/iphonetoday/downloads/list would I download the cab or the zip? What do I do with it then? Copy it to the SD card, I suppose, but then...? 3. Do you still have problems with CorePlayer, Suspend and freezing in the A81? If so I suppose they might problems in the 1060 as well. 4. As to CorePlayer, post #116 poses a question as to whether to use the Mobile or CE v. I didn't see a definitive answer. Also, kathy in post #280 mentioned the need to first download (and, I assume, install) a Raysource file. But that site is mostly in Chinese which I lack. What to do? 5. I noticed when downloading the Iris cab (I haven't tried installing it yet) that the Win Mobile OS was cited but not CE. I gather that there's a difference between those, but is it OK for CE as well? 6. And lastly, you mentioned a Japanese "Mem" app. Could you provide a link to that? I think I will find your posting #508 particularly helpful. Lots of questions here but surely not too many for a Zealot. Regards, Ken Herrick |
