I wouldn't think neither, but seeing the Forma on the side, there is no way the default white is that yellow on the Sage. I have a tiny hope they are mismanaged and a reset would fix it?

Here’s it after the reset at 67% brightness and half natural light. It seems to be a bit better but I can’t get past the jagged line of white on the right. Whilst I like the warm light I like a whitish screen in daylight and the warm light on auto in the evening and at night.

So sorry about this. I don't notice any band even with brightness turned right up. And I normally only have the brightness at about 30%.

My very initial thoughts are that this is lightning fast including at loading books from Calibre. And it is noticeably heavier to hold in one hand than the Forma, even without the cover.

This is 100% brightness (and yes I do have it that high in daylight) and no natural light.

It is fast. The weight didn’t seem to bother me. I’m disappointed but I might try again when Amazon have stock in, or my local Argos. Both those are easy for returns. I’ve already started the return process with Kobo.

the jagged white line seems to be the dreaded light spots.

what brightness level is the sage in the picture? is the pic with the warm light set to 0?

Yes, and it’s because my leds are too yellow. Brightness at 56% and natural light at zero. I posted a second picture on the same post showing that.

At least you have the option of returning it.

If the same thing happens to me, i am f@#%ked because I am from the Philippines and there won't be option for returns (No kobo support here)

almost all reviewers on yt say there is a bit of brighter area on the buttons side of the screen but based from their videos they are subtle enough not to make a fuss out of it. But i agree that yours seem too much. I can probably tolerate something like the inconsistency found on the Libra h2o screen. I ordered the sage because of the larger screen and the occasional notetaking during meetings. I hope i get a fine one.

I wash them many times a day. Washing hands doesn't help. I can still see fingerprints just fine.

I think you got a dud and should exchange it now. I had somewhat similar color problems with the Libra 1, but way not so extreme as yours. It increased progressively, and I finally decided to try for an exchange. Fnac did exchange it with no discussion, even though it was 15 months old. The new Libra 1 was better, but still somewhat yellowish which I was resenting more and more, one of the reasons I bought the Sage. The Libra 1 is now retired as a spare wheel.

My Sage is a beautiful even white, just a little brighter along the led edge. I like the natural color tone very much, just not at the higher levels - which I never used anyway.

Do you tap or swipe? If you tap, try swiping instead. I'm interested if you still see fingerpints when swiping (proving you previously tapped).
