A quick question to the savvy ones (and sorry if I have missed any possible answers on this forum, even after having read a lot of posts) It looks as if every month there is a new release of NiLuJe's hacks. As the version numbers do not change (just the upload dates) I have no idea whether I need to "flash" them anew (or atop) or simply ignore and wait for a higher version number. Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

He only just makes sure all the packages are updated when he does the monthly updates, no adding of different versions unless something new was released. (The upload dates change to show they are relevant)

The KUAL menu for each hack has a button along the lines of "Show current version" that will display the revision number of whatever you have installed, if you ever need to compare. (i.e., the version numbers will pretty much never ever change now, but the revision numbers will keep increasing ). |

Monthly-ish update of.. stuff. With updated... stuff in it. (Brain is shot). Also just updated the KindleTool repo with the PW5 IDs, not that it will do anyone any good. Kernels are not out yet, though, which is a shame, because the MTK EPDC driver looks neat as hell (especially coming from the nightmarish beast that is the sunxi one over in kobo-land...). |

Hi NiLuJe! Thanks for keeping this resource maintained! I'm currently trying to install Python 3 on my Kindle 3 Wi-Fi but I am having issues with the provided packages. Neither the Python 2 or Python 3 install files work (from the kindle-python-0.14.N-r18833.tar.xz); however, the legacy version (from https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=88004) works fine for installing Python 2. Is there something blazingly obvious that I am missing? Thanks for your help! |
