Kindle firmware 5.13.3 - Page 7

I gave up on my Oasis 2 and got a Kindle with front leds. So much difference with battery life. With the Oasis I was getting maybe 4 hrs of reading time. I am now getting so much more.

I manually updated on Sunday when my Oasis 3 went rather mad. Every time I hit the power button, it acted as if it was permanently held down: 20s or so after turning on (20s in which the Kindle operated normally), the usual hold-down-power-button dialog box popped up asking me if I wanted to power down, and unless I explicitly hit cancel, it rebooted shortly afterwards (as if the button was still held down). On reboot or if I managed to hit cancel in time, everything was fine, until for any reason I hit the power button again...

Powering off and on again didn't help, but thank goodness, the firmware update fixed it, so it's not hardware, it's some crazy persistent state the old firmware had fubared somehow.

After Updated in this version my books cover are vanished. None of them are showing any cover. Also i can't read fluently it's need more time to refresh pages, page having ghost line (Tried with Page Refresh ON/Off). I already reset once but did't change anything.
Anyone face this kind of problem in Kindle 2019?

I'm glad the update fixed that!

I had to manually apply this update. All prior updates have worked just by wifi connection. This one never did. It fixed the problem of books not automatically downloading. Not even a hard reset fixed it prior to this update.

It sounds like the previous updated didn't really complete correctly. I had the same issue with my Oasis 2 and I did resets, and started over and it didn't help, but I downloaded the update before this and reapplied it and that fixed the issue. I have gotten rid of my Oasis 2 new because it just would not give me more than about 4 hours of reading time, and if I enabled the WiFi then it was even worse. I got the chance to I traded it in, and received $75 for it and purchased the Kindle with front LEDs and I love it. Yes it is just the very basic model but it is doing everything I want and need. And I got it on special so it did not cost me but $5 to get it and the case, and without ads.

Yikes, 4 hours reading time is terrible. Hope you're happier with the Kindle heading your way.

I love the Kindle, it is smaller and easier to handle and even fits in my pants pocket. I read for many hours each day. And the battery life is great.

Note you can set up a Theme to make switching somewhat quicker.
