Taking "culture" into account is trickier. I think we all have a lot of unquestioned assumptions about what is acceptable based on what we've always done or always seen done, and some of these assumptions are defended under the banner of "culture." On the other hand, cultural identity is part of what makes us human. And there can be just as many unquestioned assumptions about what "other people" are doing "wrong" as there are about what we are doing ourselves being fine. I think I'll go with Socrates that "the unconsidered life is not worth living" and leave it at that.

You can have upstate NH in exchange for Austin, if you like. Lots of cantankerous "Live Free or Die" libertarians there, plus you get skiing. (Even in the summer.)

P.S. Horny Toads are cute little critters. I used to catch 'em, pet 'em and turn them loose as a kid... Last edited by Greg Anos; 10-28-2008 at 12:18 PM.

You know, there are times when I glad George III misplaced his colonies.... VivaldiRules -- do you need assistance? I have an intercontinental ballistic trebuchet I could load with some fish..... |

Clotted cream tends to jam up trebuchets.

Does anyone have some targetting data (preferably on Jacquard Loom punched cards -- I really must upgrade the targetting system some time)?

No but I have this old device where you could input the targeting codes by flipping little switches and the soft golden glow of the tubes will really keep you warm.

Does it have a mechanical linkage? The sort you'd normally use with to drive a dobby. The Trebuchet has a somewhat, ummmm, specialised interface....
