I noticed that the no-break space (nbsp) in ChareInk is bigger than the standard space. In fontforge while viewing the Italic style, to give one example: the nbsp width is listed as 600, while the standard space width is 500, so the appearance of spaces isn't uniform depending on the type that is used. Perhaps this can be changed when updating the font based on the v7.000 Charis release?

Are you sure the Kobo version of RMSDK supports font-variant: small-caps;?

I'll do a version of ChareInk7SP that has the smaller space and I'll see about making the non-breaking space the same size. I may not be able to get to it until Sunday.

Yes, no. maybe. One reference on Adobe's page for the version of ADE that is equivalent to the version of RMSDK used in the Kobo firmware on my KLC seems to show that font-variant: small-caps; should be supported. OTOH, I have not used font-variant: small-caps; in a CSS style in a while since support is spotty and requires a font with small-cap support to look half-decent.
