edit ebook titles on Amazon library list

I want to fix the titles on several of my Kindle ebooks listed in Amazon on my Content list. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Sorry, but I don't know what you want to do. Are these books in calibre? What "content list"?

These books are in Calibre, but on the Amazon website that shows my purchased content, many of the titles need editing. I want to fix the titles of some of my ebooks.

You can't change the publishers official title info that's on the Amazon website for purchased books listed in My Content and Devices if that's what you're asking. Publishers set those and only they (or Amazon themselves) would be able to change them.

If these are books you sent to Amazon via email or send to Kindle, etc. and you want to change the names from what you initially sent AFAIK the only way to do that would be to fix the book loacally on your computer and send the corrected version to Amazon while deleting the incorrect one.

Not sure why this is in the Calibre Companion forum?

darn it, posted in wrong forum, sorry!

some of the titles have misspellings, or somehow the author is listed where the title is and vice versa.....

aha, just realized, maybe what is appearing is the file name for those ebooks, which is often not just the book title

Looking at the actual files, I can't figure out why the titles are coming out incorrectly on the Amazon content list of my ebooks.

Are these books that you've sent (by email or SendToKindle) to your Amazon Account, rather than books you've bought at Amazon?

If so, you'll need to delete them and re-send once you've fixed the metadata in the book. You can't edit the title in your Amazon account.

These are books I sent to Amazon via the Send to Kindle app. The metadata looks alright as far as I can see.

Amazon handles Author metadata weirdly. You might need to adjust whether it's the author or the author sort that gets added to the book.

I suggest you do some experimentation to get it right. Don't forget that calibre only changes the metadata in copies of the books exported from calibre, not in the copy stored in the calibre library folders.

And then you'll need to delete from Amazon, re-export from calibre (to get the metadata inserted 'correctly') and re-send to Amazon.

You can't edit the book details on Amazon.
