I see this in the changelog:

Where is this Kobo icon? I don't see it on my toolbar.

You have to first connect your Kobo to your calibre library to see the icon.

And it will not show as a Kobo icon, you will see an icon (mine look like an ereader) labelled as Device next to an icon labelled as Library. See attached image.

Also if you have Kobo Utilities installed, you can click on Configure device to open the KoboTouch configuration dialog without needing to be connected or digging into Preferences => Plugins => KoboTouch.

This is what took me by surprise when reading it notes. It sounded to like there was a Kobo-specific button in this release.

Not that I've seen. Location Manager does use different icons for some models, the Kobo and Kindle icons are slightly different but the Device label is consistent.
