Calibre won't open?

I have Windows 10 64bit

I tried to open Calibre today, and nothing happened. I tried opening as administrator, still nothing. I tried disabling my antivirus, still nothing. I tried uninstalling it, downloading the new version from the website, and reinstalling, still won't open.

Any idea what might be happening? Anything else I can try? Any other info you need from me?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Start calibre from the terminal using this command:

Code:
calibre-debug -g
And post the debug log here.

Going by where your debug log ended, I'd suggest checking and updating your video drivers if that is possible.

Something may be going on with my computer... I can't seem to open the updater program for my graphics card. I even tried to uninstall, so I could install fresh, but that wouldn't open either. I am tempted to try the Cleanup Utility, but am concerned that it won't work, or that if it does, I won't be able to reinstall my drivers.

Also, weirdly, another program, CCleaner, won't open either. I tried a bunch of other software I have installed, and they all seem to work fine

Ok I bit the bullet and used the Cleanup Utility. It cleared everything out. I was then able to reinstall my graphics drivers, and now Calibre will open up again. Thank you for your help.

Good to hear that it worked for you even it did involve the equivalent of hitting the patient in the head with an axe.
