Some feedback and request
Dear Kovid,
As soon as Calibre 5 was released, its browser viewer became my main reader. It works fine as expected. I would like to raise a number of issues for your consideration 1) Selection handles: They are above the texts, so my finger covers the targeted texts. If they are beneath the texts, that would be more convenient. 2) Header/Footer: Could you support the texts within <tittle> tags? The reason is I often choose to display current chapter name, which - in many cases - are long that it forces the "position in book" truncated. Best regards. |

1) Dont follow. How would selection handles pointing downwards help? If you move it upwards it heps, if you move it downwards it hinders, which is the reverse of the current situation. I dont see how one is better than the other.
2) Are you asking to display the contents of the <title> tag in the current HTML file as a header? |

1) I respect your choice. But if you hold a phone and try to select texts, you will see that your finger covers the texts (especially if you try to adjust the selection), and it is harder to select the texts. The default selection handles in Android (Chrome) are under the texts, and the finger hardly covers them. Maybe one day someone else will see it too.
![]() 2) Yes. Content of the <title> tag in html. If it's not time consuming for you. Last edited by nqk; 10-21-2020 at 04:49 AM. |
