Request for feedback on four versions of cover

Baby is a novel of suspense. A 17-year-old high school girl from Phoenix, Arizona, gets a job as a babysitter for a rich and powerful man. The girl finds that the baby is being abused. The man says he's just practicing discipline, but the girl thinks something more sinister may be up. It is and against great odds she tries to save the baby.

Number one gives me the impression of a ghost/horror story. And, just creeps me out in general.

Of the four options, I like number 2 best.

Number 1 is too creepy.
Number 2 is a little girl and not baby. Though I like it the best of the four.
Number 3 is too creepy.
Number 4 looks like Photoshop effects gone wrong and it doesn't make much sense.

The doll images are just not working. Number 2 would work if the baby was a child and not a baby. Number 4 doesn't work because Photoshop effects just look cheesy.

I'd have chosen #2, but as JSWolf says, it's not a baby. I think you might have to do more searching, Gregg.

Thanks JS. So let me clarify something. You see the girl in #2 as a girl and she is, but the way I see her is as the protagonist who is saving the baby.

Thanks Harry. I heard somewhere it was not a good idea to use a baby. Also not to use dolls as they leaned toward horror.

Why the doll? It doesn't really fit. Can you find a real baby or at least a doll that looks like a baby?
