removing duplicates
is there a way to scan the library and delete the duplicates that has snook into my library ,thanks in advance

Possibly with the Find Duplicates plugin? You can search by author, title or binary compare, among others.

When in Calibre, click Preferences>Plugins>Get New Plugins and search for "duplicates", then install and restart Calibre. The Find Duplicates plugin should appear on your toolbar then
