Duplicates...

Has anyone figured out a workaround for that stupid duplicates bug on the 700? You know - the one where you sync and it just copies extra copies of books already stored?

Every time I sync up I go from 71 to 131 books. It's kind of annoying.

And I know Calibre is the best workaround, I was hoping for something with the ebook library. I can't sync my purchases thru the sony store and calibre.

Have you tried re-formatting the device and then synching the content again?

Yeah..that's my usual solution. It's a pain though because I lose my bookmarks/notes and page settings on all the books I was working on.

For a while, I had even tried just deleting the dupes, but found most of my reading time to be taken up by this.

Stop syncing?

Or sync up using windows rather than ebook library, it appears as a standard removable disk so just sync a folder on your computer to the reader with windows and it will make sure the contents stay the same.

I use collections to view and sort my books. so the dupes are hidden unliss I view ALL books.

it only dupes them for me when I change which collection a book is in
