Libra standalone?

Was reading this thread http://www.mobileread.mobi/forums/sh...d.php?t=171664 but it's very old. Got to the homepage successfully after editing KoboReader.sqlite users, but can't access the My Books page. Has anybody had success skipping registration on a Libra?

I'd suggest doing another search. This is discussed every few months, and details for recent firmware have been posted. It isn't something I have any interest in using, so I don't track the details.

Can you point me where to go? I searched for hours but I'm very new, can't find any other information. Or a fix for this specific problem.

Don't know how to edit posts either. I had a long post with more information in another thread but it was caught in the new members filter and disappeared, no way to get it back?

IIRC, the most recent hack is to add a row with a UserID of 1, a empty string for the UserKey, and the default values for the rest into the user table.

Is that all that is needed, no other changes to the database or other files? The rest of the field default values are NULL.

Not sure what I am doing wrong then. Still getting that error after ejecting the device. Version 4.16.13449

That fixed it! Glad I had a backup. Thanks for the help.

You should be able to. The button is beside the quote button on the bottom-right of the post.

You need to have so many posts first. I cannot say the number.

Just a note to the original topic. Given that the directions for faking a registration changed, there's no guarantee that it won't change again for some new firmware. I don't know if that will cause a problem or not.

To be honest, I see no reason not to do a proper registration.

Ok. Hopefully it's not a number that takes years.

I do have a proper registration too.
