Deposit books in single directory?

I swap a mini sd card from my pc to my tablet for books, and my reading app builds its library from a single directory with no sub-directories. How can I make Calibre place books on my sd in a single directory? Thanks.

I use save to disk to put books on a NAS in a folder.

Then I have an app on my e-readers (foldersync pro) that syncs a folder on the readers (tablet+eink) from the folder on the NAS, over wifi.

I also have subfolders based on genre and type, each with several books. I don't put pdfs on the eink reader, only on the tablet.

I use calbredb as part of a script to extract my epubs to a single level folder and my azw3s to another:

calibredb export --progress --all --dont-save-cover --dont-write-opf --format epub --single-dir --template "{authors}-{series}{series_index:0>2s|[|]-}{title}" --to-dir <destination folder goes here>

Then I can just side-load onto my Kindle
