Can i use PW1 screen with a PW2?

I bought a PW1 which has turned out to have had eraseall nastiness done to it and is useless. But it has a good screen.

I just bought a PW2 which looks like it got run over by a truck, screen totally crazy paved and mashed. Opened it up, even heat shields squashed a bit but I put a serial port on it and it boots.

Can I swap the main board from the PW2 into the PW1 to use it's screen?

Should have searched more first....found a couple of threads that suggest while the board will fit it won't work because the screens are different
