Can't find most recent Kindle book on hard drive
I've been converting Kindle books to Epub for years. However, the last book I bought, which was June 8, hasn't shown up in the usual spot in the My Kindle Content directory on my Windows 10 hard drive, yet it's available in the Kindle for PC program. I noticed when I opened Kindle for PC that it updated. I re-sent it to my computer, but still can't find an AZW file (or anything bigger than 1KB), although there is a .apnx and .mpb there.
I'm wondering if Amazon has changed anything recently. ? I've done some searching and couldn't find anything. Also, I know it's not a book that I previously bought but didn't realize it. |

You might be running into KFX. Here's one of the many threads on it...

Starting with Kindle for PC 1.19, the book files are in individual subdirectories under the "My Kindle Content" directory. Those subdirectories will have names like "B01N5WK16A_EBOK". Inside there the main book file will have a ".azw" extension, regardless of its format.
