Sigil 7.2 looks for a CD in hard drive

...and so it will not open. I'm using Windows 7 (64 bit). I reloaded Sigil 6.2 for Windows, and it works fine.

Perhaps you need to uninstall fully and reinstall. There is a pointer to your cd-drive.

By any chance, did you try and Edit a book that originated on a CD?

The 'history' might be checking to see if they are still around.
