Free (nook/Kobo DRM-free) Will Solvit & the T-Rex Terror [Kids SFnal Adventure Novel]

Will Solvit and the T-Rex of Terror by Zed Storm is the 1st in their middle school/tween-level adventure series starring the titular Will Solvit, an intrepid 10-year old with a wacky inventor father who wanders around exploring and figuring out stuff (fils, not père), in this installment using a time machine and his knowledge of dinosaurs to decode some secret letters or somesuch, free courtesy of publisher Parragon Books, who handle some of The Discovery Channel's tie-in titles.

These are apparently mildly educational-ish, and each one in the series comes with fun facts about whatever it is that's being explored.

Currently free @ B&N (may or may not also drop in the UK, Parragon titles seem to be a little random about their region availability) & Kobo (available to Canadians, and DRM-free to boot).

Description
Will Solvit is a regular ten year old - or so he thought. With the help of his dad's crazy inventions, Will finds himself with a broken time machine, a hungry T-Rex, and a trail of secret letters to decode.

Featuring amazing dinosaur fun facts, easy to read text, and a whole lot of mysteries to solve, Will Solvit makes a great companion for middle readers ages 6-11. Be sure to check out all 12 adventures in the Will Solvit series!
<-- That last bit reminds me strongly of one of the winning entries in the annual Bulwer-Lytton Fiction contest in the children's category which was the opening sentence which introduced a very cutesy series of imaginary books describing the adventures of some sort of adorably anthropomorphic animal in loving detail and concluded with words along the lines of "and they had ever so many fun and wonderful adventures which your mommy and daddy can buy for you."
