Annotation doesn't work on some documents (M92)

I don't understand why the annotation doesn't work consistently, and this is not documented.

What types of documents does it work on, or not? Is it something to do with filetype, or more complicated than that?

Hope somebody knows!

If I'm not mistaken yes, it depends on filetype. It definitely works on PDF I don't remember if it works on other formats (my M92 broke a few months ago)
