PRS-350 PRS+ and the White Screen of the Hopi Void

Today, I switched on one of my two PRS-350s -- the one I'm going to give someone as a present, and on which I've installed PRS+ -- and found that reaching page 7 of the list of books resulted in the screen going completely white until the reader restarted on its own. Going through the pages again resulted in the same blankness and restart, a virtual merry-go-ruond of glitching.

In an effort to isolate the problem, I got rid of the (alphabetically) last twenty books.

Oddly, the number of pages of the book library has remained the same, but the white screen now occurs on page 9 of the book list. I suppose I could continue eliminating books until nothing remained on my 350 beyond a wordless slideshow, but would that really fix the problem?

Has anyone else had this issue and, if so, should I simply return the Reader to stock before giving it to my ladypal instead of attempting to customize it especially for her?

Since I installed PRS+ about a month or so ago I've experienced similar event on 2 occasions, both times I think were when I was paging through the book covers, the images. Basically the reader crashed, the screen went white and then re-booted itself as if it had been shut down, no intervention by me.

THAT SAID, I really can't say whether PRS+ has anything to do with this or not. The 2 times happened at some point after I had transferred a load of books onto the reader. Maybe the reader just got overloaded having to cope with all the new cover image extractions from the ebooks as I was paging through them the first time...? I don't know.

(I should add that I was able to then page through all the book covers without further incident, unlike what you describe.)

It might be that there is an issue with the PRS+ code for displaying reading progress for thumbnails. If you have that setting enabled, try disabling it and see if it makes a difference.
