HELP! The tablet side of my PE is a white screen
I can't figure out what happened. The reader side shows my screen saver, but the right side (the tablet side) is showing a white screen. I have tried a hard reset, but nothing. I can't turn it off since it is the right side of the tablet that allows you to choose whether you want to choose 'turn off' or 'hibernate' or whatever. It turns off like it is going into power saver, but when I press the menu button, I just get the white screen.
I don't know what to do! HELP! |

You can try to power it down by holding the power switch until it powers down. I sounds like you might have the WSOD. You can search this forum for the term WSOD, my PE suffered from the WSOD, but it was before entourage went out of business and I was able to get it repaired.

I was able to get it to power down, but still the WSOD!
I am so bummed because I loved this thing! Woot no longer has any to send as a replacement. |

I caught the Woot sale and bought each of my grandkids a PE for early Christmas presents. After only a few days both of them started white-screening. The 13 year old's has the white-screen-of-death and won't recover, and the 16 year old's has intermittent white screens. Woot doesn't have any replacements and can only offer a refund. Both kids are really upset that they have to give them up and they can't be replaced. Talk about rotten luck... two out of two bad ones!
