weird crash

Today I started up my eDGe and it hang. So I removed the battery, waited a couple of minutes, put the battery back and started up again. This time the reader part hang during initialization and didn't go further. I shut off and restarted. This time the reader worked again, but on the LCD screen something changed. All apps where gone and a couple other apps where theere. Apps I would never put there.

I've got to get all those apps back on the screen again. Of course is that no problem, but I don't understand what happened. Does anybody had a similar situation and/or does somebody knows what it could be?
I did not upgrade to this beta version.

Hmmm. That's scary. And you've had your eDGe for at least a year, right?

Almost. I had my first eDGe mid april 2010, but it hang constantly and was replaced end of may. I had not a single problem with it since today.

It just worries me a a bit after Cheyenne reported problems with her 1yr+ old EE...

I had a similar problem on an Android phone. The issue was a corrupted SD card, in the phones case the apps were on my external SD card and replacing fixed the problem. Were you able to use all your apps and replace their icons on your desktop?

I had a very similar crash few months ago. I just removed the battery a second time--make sure the battery is inserted properly--and restarted. Worked fine after the second time I removed the battery and restarted. No problem since--not that one anyway.

well, it works perfect again. why? I'm not sure. I put the SD-card back in and it works. I'm not sure if I understand it, because I think my eDGe doesn't need a SD-card for starting up. Maybe it's trying to find the last document I had open. anyway, my problem is solved.

with my other tablet I also have a SD-card, but there I know that every app I download will be put on that card. Not like my eDG.

Thanks for the hints. I'm very sorry to hear that the eDGe of Cheyennedonna past away. That's a serious problem. In light of the development of Entourage Inc it's even worse.

note: what I forgot to mention... all my contacts are a gonner. the app is completely empty. nobody knows where my contacts are. I had to put them in one by one.

Right, to continue my crash story.

Funny enough I lost all of my contacts and all of the history of the browser. I tried to find those files, especially the one with all my contacts, but I wasn't able to find them.
does anybody know where those items re stored? Is it possible to find them and to save it somewhere else?
