Tip : How to display whether a book has added files in "Data files"
I created a custom column:
Lookup name: datafiles Column header: Data Files Column type: Column built from other columns (Behaves like a tag) Template: program: has_extra_files() Search template: {has_extra_files()} Show in tag browser: Yes Sort or search columns by: #It doesn’t matter what I chose, the column always displays the number of additional files. Now, the column shows the number of added files, and it also appears on the left as a category. This is sorted based on the number of added files. Moreover, the column doesn't have to be visible—I can hide it, and the category will still work. We worked on this with AI for about an hour. |

Do you have a question? You described behavior. If it isn't the behavior you want then what do you want?

There's information about it on the forum. Searching for extra_files will give you many threads. Here's one:

I attach a 'folder' icon to a column (e.g. Title) if has_extra_files() is True. BR |

No words needed, picture is easier:
Links is a long text column. I attach the folder icon to it because when I store the original file in the 'data' folder I usually put a link to the file in the Links column. Which means I can 'click' on (open) it from the Book details panel - saves having to open and close File System windows. BR Last edited by BetterRed; 06-02-2025 at 05:02 AM. |
