epub2pdf paper size changes with "odd/even offset"

Conversion from epub to pdf with 6x9 output with L margin at 72 pt and R margin at 72pt comes out good and pdf properties say 6x9. But if I also add a printer offset of 36pt ("odd/even offset") the outside margin is good but pdf properties now says the output is 5.5x9 To test this more, with 18pt offset output reads 5.75x9 I am not sure, but I think the offset changes the paper width. Wait. Are you using Covid's image in a work of fiction? Got permission?

"Covid" is a virus. "Kovid" is a genius. He may or may not grant permission. Can you shed light on the problem at hand? I think there is a bug, but I am not sure.

I have no insight into the bug.

Placing someone's image in a story about prostitutes without permission is a problem. Possibly a legal problem. Very possibly.

Can you create a minimal test case epub file that reproduces the issue to a bug report.
