calibre's new "printer's offset" for PDF
The latest version of calibre has a new feature which lets you add additional space to "inside" margins of paper to make room for binding. Thus, the left-hand sheets have added room on the inside (which is the right) and right-hand sheets have added room on the inside (which is on the left. This feature fixes the problem of excessively opening a book wide (which almost breaks the binding) so that you can read all the way to the center of the binding. A very great feature! Notice that you can set "even" to the left and "odd" to the right or vice versa (depending on what number your book begins). Notice also that in this example the number of PX set is negative. The actual offset MUST be smaller than the margins. Best regards, Pop
