Kindle Voyage: hard to make transferred books appear
After transferring books from Calibre to my Kindle Voyage, the books don't show up, even after waiting for 10 minutes. I would try various things like reconnecting and doing a metadata update. Or transfer more books. Or deleting books from the kindle. After a few tries of these, the books eventually show up. One time I even tried a reboot. None of these are certain to help. One time I even deleted all the books from the device (from calibre's device view) and yet they still stubbornly remain on the kindle screen.
What exactly triggers the Kindle to refresh itself? Can I force an update? My Voyage is rooted, though that is the extent of any modifications. |

You've likely got some book on the kindle that causes its indexer to crash. https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq...id-not-show-up
