Use covert generated by calibre in my KOBO glo

Using calibre I am able to generate a covert based on the title and the author of the epub.
But I don't succeed to use this covert in my kobo glo.

It seems that kobo glo always use the first "page" of the epub document as a cover.

is it configurable ?

Yes, the Kobo devices use the first page of the book as the cover image. The first time a cover image is needed, the device renders the first page. Strictly, there isn't a way to change this. Personally, I just add the cover to the start of the book. The simplest way to do this is using the Polish books.

But, you can configure the driver to send the cover with the book to the device. With this, calibre will send whatever cover is in the library to the device with the book. For books already on the device, you can use my Kobo Utilities plugin to send just the covers.

so kobo don't read the cover that could be stored in the epub.

but kobo generates a cover the first time for epub from the first page. and there is a way to update the cover generated by kobo and to replace it by the one generated by calibre. right ? => ok understood and done correctly with kobo utilities. I also configured the kobo driver in calibre to have cover sent for futur book.

concerning the way to add a cover on the first page, what do you mean by : "The simplest way to do this is using the Polish books".... polish books ??

Yes to all that. But, there is one added twist. A few cover images are cached in memory. If you replace the cover image, you might not see it displayed until it is either removed from the cache or the device is restarted. The latter is usually the quickest way if you replace the cover for the book you are currently reading.

"Polish books" is a function in calibre to make some changes in the book in the library without doing a full conversion. The toolbar button for it looks like a brush. When you press the button, a dialog with several options is displayed. One is to add or change the cover. If the Polish books button isn't on your toolbar or menu, you will need to go into the preferences and add it.
