Calibre has stopped mailing books, news
I have been using Calibre, much to my great joy, with my new Kindle Voyage. All was going well until yesterday when email jobs began to fail with the following errors:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/email.py", line 43, in run File "site-packages/calibre/gui2/email.py", line 130, in sendmail File "site-packages/calibre/utils/smtp.py", line 116, in sendmail File "site-packages/calibre/utils/smtp.py", line 108, in sendmail_direct IOError: Failed to send mail: error(110, 'Connection timed out') I have double checked my email settings and I can manually email to the Kindle from my gmail account, however Calibre fails to do this suddenly. I am using 64-bit Debian 8.3 with the Calibre 2.52.0 |

According to that error you are not using an email server to send mail, read http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....-using-calibre
