E-mailing converted books from Calibre to Kindle

I have always been able to simply convert books with Calibre and then e-mail the converted book to my Kindle. Now it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

You'll need to be more specific. Exactly what doesn't work?

You are trying to send email without setting up an email relay, read and follow the instructions here: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....-using-calibre

Is this a new function of the updated Calibre software that I just downloaded? I used to be able to e-mail books to my Kindle without error. I tried to sign up for GMX but the "Sign Up" page "cannot be found".

No, it isn't. As that FAQ notes, trying to send email without configuring a email server is always going tobe problematical. Many sites block email from random computers with dynamic IPs to cut down on spam.

This is the 2nd instance of GMX not found in the past couple of weeks, see this post ==>> Can't get at GMX?

But it is NOT the link in the Setup GMX account dialogue - its working fine for me today. However, here's my response to the above post ==>> ...interesting, I too recently lost GMX

My need to get to GMX was unrelated to calibre.

gmx.com has been working fine for me for the last several days. I suspect some DNS breakage in some parts of the internet. Hopefully, it is a temporary phenomenon.

Kovid - FYI my GMX 'outage' occurred between 13-17 December 2014.
