KDP conversion failed!
Hello,
1. I have created a Validated Fixed-Layout EPUB3, when I tried to upload the finished book to KDP and I get this error message: Quote:

Seems like the only problem is one <header> tag which I have removed, still same error on KDP.

The log file looks OK, but that doesn't really mean anything.
Did you test the book with the Kindle for Android and Kindle for PC apps and an eInk Kindle? If this is a self-published book, KDP might have simply rejected it, because Hebrew is not on the list of supported KDP languages. Also there's an image file size limit of 5MB per image. The only way to find out what's really going on is to contact KDP support by e-mail (select Publishing > Other). |

I don't do fixed format (nor Epub3, for that matter), so I can't comment on your questions. But definitely, you can't publish a Hebrew language book through the KDP platform. It would have to be an English-language book with some Hebrew content.

I'm not trying to publish, only upload for conversation and save as draft, though, I assume Amazon don't make that distinction.
Do you think the tag <dc:language> would cause this issue!? seems a bit farfetched but i'll try anyway. |

I have created an EPUB3 from scratch.
I have created an FXL from Indesign CC as a benchmark to see that my code is up to date since I haven't created a FXL EPUB in over a year now. My EPUB3 looks perfect on Readium, exactly how I want it to look, it is validated using ePubCheck 3.0.1 but when I pass it through Kindle Previewer I get one page at a time instead of page spread. Do you mind looking at the code perhaps to see what mind cause that? |
