viewer --open-at
I can't get --open-at to work. I thought the command to open a book at a specific location (shown in the upper left corner) was:
ebook-viewer.exe --open-at 123 "\calibre library\author\title.epub" This opens the file, but not at 123. I also tried --open-at=123. How should I make this work? |

I never used that feature, but looking at the book viewer you see something like
4.0 / 182 the 182 appears to be the Total (or last screen) The 4.0 is the location (I don't know how the number is arrived at. It has fractions (I use Paged mode) in its increments that seem to be related to viewing area) |

There is a bug in the implementation that can cause somewhat inaccurate positioning when using --open-at (it depends on a race condition during startup) this will be fixed in the next release.

It does not seem to work any better with 2.36. For example, --open-at 700 (or 700.0) opens at 625.0 / 713 and --open-at 70 (or 70.0) opens at 2.0 / 713.

Works for me, you'll have to opena bug report and attach a file for which it fails.

Quote:
For some books, --open-at opens at the correct (or very close to the correct) page. For others, the distance is much greater, at least for me. |
