Unhappy E-book viewer: Error -could not open

Hi
Not a native English speaker so i'll do my best.

Today almost each time I tried to open a book on Calibre, I got this message:

calibre, version 2.9.0
ERROR: Could not open ebook: Error -3 while decompressing: invalid stored block lengths

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\viewer\main.py", line 37, in run

File "site-packages\calibre\utils\localunzip.py", line 158, in copy_compressed_file
error: Error -3 while decompressing: invalid stored block lengths

OR this one:

calibre, version 2.9.0
ERROR: Could not open ebook: Not a ZIP file

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\viewer\main.py", line 37, in run

File "site-packages\calibre\utils\localunzip.py", line 210, in _extractall
ValueError: Not a ZIP file

The books aren't zip files and weren't unzipped, I changed the calibre settings back to default...

I'm kind of lost so any help would really really be appreciated.
Thanks !

@Sensahat - From EPUB - Wikipedia

Quote:
An EPUB file is a group of files that conform to the OPS/OPF standards and are wrapped in a ZIP file.[3] The OCF [standard] specifies how to organize these files in the ZIP, and defines two additional files that must be included....
1. You should ask the bookseller for a valid EPUB or for a refund.

2. You could try unpacking the files with something like WinRAR or 7zip, if you can do that then repack folder as a ZIP and rename it to EPUB.

EPUBS are really a zip file (just with extra rules)

Those messages say DAMAGED files.

A rogue A/V?
Damaged Calibre? Uninstall, then install from a fresh download.

I deleted each file that wasn't working from Calibre then re-uploaded, checked it, and so on. Took me a while but I guess something went wrong during the first upload to Calibre.

Thank you for your quick answers.
(I also re-installed Calibre)
