Amazon's reputation with consumers is tops

Via CNN: http://money.cnn.com/2015/06/15/news...on-reputation/

Quote:
Amazon is America's best company. Says who? You!
Amazon is the best company in America, and Wendy's is better than McDonald's ... a LOT better.
At least that's what most people think, according to the Reputation Institute, an advisory firm that surveys the public about companies and industries.

The firm uses responses from its annual survey to assign a point system to various companies -- anything with a score of at least 80 is excellent, and anything 40 or less is poor.
Amazon (AMZN, Tech30) scored the highest rating in America of 84.08, followed by Kellogg's (K), at 81.50, Lego, at 81.49, Fruit of the Loom, at 81.23, and Campbell (CPB) Soup, at 80.29.
The institute didn't explain why these specific companies did so well, but said it measures a company's ability to deliver expectations in its products and services, innovation, workplace, governance, citizenship, leadership and financial performance.

I eat at McDonald's and Wendy's. ChickFila' and KFC also. All have strong points.

But I choose to use Amazon exclusively (when it is possible.)

As far as restaurants my area has locally owned places better than any of the chains. I mostly eat at those.

I do buy a lot from Amazon, but certainly nowhere near exclusively. For example; Electronics are generally better bought from the Asian online malls and the site that advertises through The Dice Tower blog has better prices on games.

But can any of those stores beat Amazon's return policy? Cheap is good, peace of mind is better.

Actually, Google maps used to do this if you wanted directions from Australia to the US. At some point, you kayak between Japan and Alaska.

Unfortunately, they've 'fixed' this.

They have driving, various means of mass transport, cycling, and walking. Why can't kayaking be considered a legitimate form of transport too?

Last night I had the strangest dream
I sailed away to China
In a little row boat to find ya
And you said you had to get your laundry cleaned
Didn't want no-one to hold you
What does that mean
