OSX Yosemite and Calibre

I recently downloaded OSX Yosemite, and then Calibre 2.7. Before, the resolution was high and everything looked good. Now however, the resolution looks like something from Windows XP, and the plugin icons on the menu bar are now really large. In short, Calibre now looks horrible. What do i do?

I'm happy it works for you, but it doesn't for me. Is there any advice from anyone?

Did you bring forward the settings from the previous version of OSX?

You might want to check your settings under Preferences->Look and Feel->Main Interface. There you can set the icon size, and also the spacing between lines in the main interface (note the comment about negative values being allowed for closer spacing)

Hi !

I upgrade to Yosemite, and of course Calibre 2.7. I connect my Kobo to my macbook air, and click on "Connect" on the kobo. But nothing appears on Calibre. And it's of course impossible to send ebook on my kobo...

Any idea to solve this?

There is another thread on this:
bottom line is to go back to Calibre 1.48 until things get fixed in the MAC supporting utilities

I didn't think that a Kobo Aura HD was affected by the outstanding MAC issues (which I thought were related to MTP connected devices).

The Aura is not a MTP device?

No... The Aura is an eReader not a Tablet... The Kobo Tablet's are ARC's (and VOX).

Waylander,

I'm using Calibre and Yosemite but I'm not having this resolution problem.

I would try completely uninstalling calibre by using a 3rd party tool such as AppZapper, then re-installing it. This will reset all your Calibre settings, but it's the next thing to try.

BTW - I was having a bug of my own: the preferences dialog is opening full screen, then, when I close the dialog, the full screen display remains open as a blank screen. Removing the app and reinstalling from scratch solved the problem.

Feh. My own problem came back after I tried toggling between fullscreen and regular mode.
