According to that debug report OS X is telling calibre there are no usb devices connected. This is likely because of some incompatibility between libusb and your system. (calibre 2.x switched to libusb to add support for MTP devices). I suggest you stick with calibre 1.48 until you are ready to upgrade your OS X install.

Will do that.

Thx much for the prompt response.

I was on 1.43 (I think) till
a few hours back & all was well.

Will revert to 1.48.

UPDATE: The Kindle is detected. Back to 1.48. Thx much
