Seems I finally get the new checkout - no Paypal option??!!

Well, what it says in the title: Seeing the (not so) new (anymore) checkout for the first time at the Kobo store, and the only paying option I get is credit card. I've spent hundreds of euros on books at Kobo via Paypal; if that isn't good enough for them anymore, I guess I'll have to take my business elsewhere...

None in principle. But my alternative to Paypal for book purchases is my American Express card, and they won't even accept that. Makes things more complicated where they were nice and smooth so far.

Anyway, I just saw that there is already a thread on this...

Although I don't purchase from Kobo, the PayPal option for checkout is still there for me (browsing from the US).

Yep, it seems from the other thread that Paypal is still an option for US customers. No such luck here from Germany...

The coupon field is on page 2 of the new checkout.

I wanted to try it, but after entering my credit card info, it tells me that they can’t save the info and I should try again or try another payment option. Another payment option? There is no other anymore! Amateurs!

If you're desperate enough, you could install IE9 and get the old format store back.

Paypal was removed from the European store. I asked Kobo about this and I complained bitterly but they wouldn't say why it had been removed.

Some European stores have PayPal on the new website, I know Kobo France does.

Just to let you know the dutch kobobooks site allows me to pay with paypal, however I pay in GBP (UK sterling) - don't know if this makes a difference.
