Aura Windows won't recognize new Kobo Aura

I got a new Kobo Aura today and am having problems connecting it to the compouter. I can do the updates and setup wirelessly and download the books that way, but I can not connect it to the computer. Whenever I plug it in, it just says I need to format disk and it doesn't recognize it as a Kobo, it just says it's a removable disk. Any ideas?? I'm stumped.

I went back to the store and exchanged it and the new one works! Guess it was defective. I always think of these things after I post in the forum.
