How about about adding delete to the right click menu?

When I am trying to join paragraphs with superfluous page numbers between them, I highlight the text I want to get rid of, but I have to go to the keyboard to delete.

I could cut, but I don't always want to put that on the clipboard. How about adding delete to the actions of the right click menu?

Also, when I highlight an opening tag, the closing tag is also highlighted more dimly. Could there be an option to delete both, either by menu or something else (if there isn't something already and I've missed it!)?

My 2 cents

If you add 'Delete', please put it at the bottom and Isolate it with a separator bar to protect us, that are klutzes.

I drive the context menu from the menu key rather than the mouse, so wherever possible (as in the main calibre program) I put the often used things at the bottom

to the main calibre program, for letting me order its context menu - if only all programs did the same
