Anybody else having issues with the optical mouse after Dingo 1.11?
I have the Pocket eDGe, and before the Dingo 1.11 update, the optical mouse on the right of the LCD works fine. After the update, it does not appear to be working at all anymore. Has anybody else noticed this problem after updating their eDGe? Even pressing down on the button does nothing at all, it's completely unresponsive.

Actually, you're right! I don't use it too often, but last time I used it I was a bit puzzled that it wasn't moving the text cursor back through the text.
Go ahead and post a Help Request at http://www.entourageedge.com/support. |

this is the second time this happened to me. I figured it would fix itself with the next update. They happen often enough that I wasn't stressing, so I hadn't brought it up. It might be something for them to keep an eye out for with these updates. I do use the OTP often. Some sites I visit sort of demand that, since their setup doesn't allow for panning without "clicking" in some areas.

I just submitted a ticket regarding this issue. Without the optical mouse, I cannot get further in Frozen Bubble.

I'm puzzled - I've always played Frozen Bubble by finger. I didn't know the optical mouse was useable in that game...

The optical mouse acts like a joystick of sorts.
For those who require the optical mouse, but unfortunately upgraded to Dingo 1.11, you can download Dingo 1.10 from here: http://www.entourageedge.com/support....10/update.zip Before using this update.zip, I would highly recommend contacting support to see how the device would handle a downgrade. In fact, contact support first, instead of downgrading. I am sure that all the previous updates are archived on their website, if downgrading is a possibility, then developers may still have a chance to develop with full debug access, which was removed in one update(as I have read in a previous developer post). |

I just got a response from Tech Support. Reset your PE (you can use a paper clip to press the reset button, located at the top of the Reader side). Turns out this works - my optical mouse nows works fine again.

I had tried restarting several times and it wasn't working. I then started to question if I had been updated, so I went to do a manual update, and it said I was already updated. The mouse still wasn't working, so I restarted again after trying to update... and IT WORKED!!! Others having difficulty here may wanna add persistence to the process.

With DINGO 1.11 I am having this same problem again. I tried using the "reset" button. Have restarted it at least 10 times too. Absolutely does NOT work. I have put in a tech support ticket, but it is very frustrating. Especially since it was working fine up until the last update.

I have no problem with my optical mouse (assuming this is the small blue mouse of the edge). How can it be that some people have this problem and others not? How can it be a problem of the update then?
