I have a Tolino Page 1 that is still detected over USB as “Freescale SE Blank MEGREZ”, so the hardware is alive and enters recovery mode. The original SD card is dead/corrupted, and the device no longer boots.

I am looking for a full raw SD card image (dd dump) for this model in order to restore it.

If anyone has a working Tolino Page 1 and could provide a backup image, I would really appreciate it.

For reference, the motherboard revision is 37NB-E60QJ0+4A3.

Hi. I'm sorry if this is unrelated to the forum or if I'm asking in the wrong forum. I wanted to ask users of the Tolino Shine 4: does this device drain battery like crazy, or is it just my unit?

I've done all I can to maximize battery life on this device, but to no avail.

I've disabled Wi-Fi, turned on airplane mode, and even turned off the frontlight, but the device needs to be charged on the 2nd or 3rd day, no longer than that. I opened the back cover and saw that the battery date is 2023, and no physical damage can be seen. I bought this secondhand, so I don't know what to expect from the battery life.

I hope someone can answer my question. Thank you.

What I'm trying to explain is the battery drain while the shine 4 is being used (screen on). The idle drain on my device is actually quite good—only 1% per day when it is sitting idle and not being used.

This issue affects all devices with the AllWinner B300 processor: Tolino Shine 4, Tolino Vision 6, Tolino Epos 3, Kobo Sage, Nook GlowLight 4...
I set up my devices roughly as shown in the attached photo. I activate the DS only when reading. In this mode, the battery on my Vision 6 lasts two weeks instead of five days.
However, I don't use WiFi and don't have any online libraries. I only download books to my device via a cable from my PC.
If necessary, I have a TWRP backup for Shine 4.

Thank you for both the XDA Forums and GitHub links. I'm currently testing the KOReader patch with the latest version (2026.03) of KOReader. It seems to be working and has improved the battery life on my Tolino Shine 4.

The screen usage went from 10% per hour (before) to 3% per hour now! I'm very happy with this result.

May I ask what launcher you are using in your attached photo? I'm curious. Thanks again.
