Sleep images for Tolino epos

I've found that when I create a 1404x1872 image and save it as suspend.jpg, I can use it as the sleep cover image. However, the suspend_charging.jpg and suspend_batteryfull.jpg images do not seem to work. Anyone have any suggestions whether this is possible short of modifying the update.zip file which runs into issues with signing or rooting?

I did notice that the epos still uses the suspend.jpg filename while the 6" screen Tolinos need to add _others at the end of the filename (you can locate the 3 image pairs in system\usr\sleep\drawable-nodpi\ in the update.zip file.

How is the Epos holding up with the latest update, is the software still buggy?
